Select your State: Louisiana
Select your institution: Click LA 4-H Youth Development
Select your County: Lincoln
Enter info in all required fields.
Click "create account".
Enter your mailing address and click "verify".
Which program would you like to join? Click "4-H " then "next".
Enter personal and demographic info in all required fields. Info should be for the volunteer being enrolled. Click "next" after each screen.
How would you like to participate? Click "I want to join 4-H as a new or returning adult" then "finish".
Volunteer Types (Please read carefully so that you choose the correct volunteer type. This step is very important for your training and to ensure your enrollment will be completed.)
Brick & Morter School Club Leaders (TEACHERS/PARAS) **NOT HOMESCHOOL**:
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "club volunteer" from the drop down, then choose School Club Leader.
School and Homeschool Club Leaders (NOT TEACHERS):
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "club volunteer" from the drop down, then choose Club Leader. (Do not choose school club leader)
Project Club Volunteers (If you are leading a club like sewing, photography, fishing, etc.)
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "club volunteer" from the drop down, then choose Club Leader, then click "next".
Project Club Volunteers (If you are only helping but not a leader or coach of a club or group)
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "club volunteer" from the drop down, then choose Club Volunteer - General, then click "next".
Shooting Sports Coach: (**4-H agent MUST be made aware prior to registration or they will not be approved**)
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "program volunteer" from the drop down, then choose shooting sports level 1 instructor (coach), then click "next".
If you are interested in assisting with other events and contests:
Click "Select Volunteer Type", choose "program volunteer" from the drop down then choose one of the following:
Activity Leader: A volunteer that leads or assists with a specific 4-H activity on a regular basis. Then click next.
Advisory Board Member: A volunteer that serves on an advisory board, then click next.
Judge:
Overnight Chaperone: A volunteer that is trained to chaperone an overnight event, click next.
Program Assistant – General: An episodic volunteer that assists with a specific 4-H activity, then click next.
Shooting Sports Coordinator – Parish level Shooting Sports Coordinator, then click next. **This position must be approved by the parish 4-H agent.**
Select Clubs: Find your school club or project club (N/A for program volunteers only)
Select Projects: Please complete as follows:
Club Leaders- Leave blank
Project Club- Your project topic
Program Volunteer- Any topics/General
Shooting Sports Coaches- Your discipline
Years in project: How many years have you worked with this project?
Questions: Click “Show Questions”, enter info in all required fields.
Health Form: Click “Show Health Form”, answer health questions and read medical release.
Click "agree" and enter required info.
Consents: Click “Show Consents”. Includes Hold Harmless, Media Release, and Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Statement. Read through each then click "agree" and enter required info.
Verify your info and click "Submit", then confirm your submission!
If prompted to complete a background screening, click the link to the Sterling Volunteers site, enter your information, and submit it for background check. When back at the family page, if further training is needed, it will be listed here next to your name. Click each training to complete them. Your registration cannot be approved until all trainings are complete and you are not allowed to participate in the activity until all of them are complete and your enrollment is approved.
