Celebrate National 4-H Week October 4 - 10, 2026!

National 4-H Week is a time to celebrate the impact of 4-H and highlight the opportunities available to youth in St. John Parish. Throughout the week, members, volunteers, and supporters are encouraged to show their 4-H pride, share their experiences, and participate in special activities and contests.

Whether you're a new member just getting started or a longtime 4-H'er, National 4-H Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the skills, friendships, leadership, and experiences that make 4-H special.

On Monday of National 4-H Week, Go GREEN and show your 4-H Spirit!

How to Go Green

  • Wear green clothing or decorate your office, classroom, or event in green.
  • Light up your home or office with green light bulbs.
  • Share your 'Go Green' moment on social media and tag St. John 4-H and use: #4-HBeyondReady #National4HWeek

In celebration of National 4-H Week, clubs are invited to create a display that promotes 4-H and encourages new membership. Displays can include bulletin boards, classroom doors, hallway displays, or other creative setups within the school.

All displays must reflect this year’s theme: 'Game On: Skills for Life.'

Photos of completed displays must be submitted by Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Judging will take place October 7–12 at 8am.

On Thursday of National 4-H Week, help us shine a light on all the mentors, educators, and volunteers who are making a positive impact in your life. Share who you're thankful for and celebrate how they are making a difference!

Share your 'Thankful' story on social media, and tag others in your 4-H community, tag St. John 4-H and use: #4HBeyondReady #National4HWeek

Did 4-H help shape your future? We invite St. John Parish 4-H alumni to share how their 4-H experiences influenced their education, career, leadership journey, or personal growth. Your story can help inspire the next generation of 4-H members.

National 4-H Week is all about celebrating the experiences, opportunities, and life skills gained through 4-H. We invite current St. John Parish 4-H members to share their 4-H story with our community.

Members may choose one of the following

  • Option 1: Write a Letter
    • Write a short letter describing how 4-H has impacted your life. Consider sharing:
      • What 4-H means to you
      • A favorite 4-H memory
      • A skill you've developed through 4-H
      • How 4-H has helped you grow as a leader, teammate, or community member
      • Why would you encourage others to join 4-H
  • Option 2: Create a Short Video
    • Record a short video sharing your 4-H experience. Tell us:
      • Who you are
      • What you enjoy most about 4-H
      • How 4-H has helped prepare you for the future
