Washington Parish residents are invited to participate in our Pumpkin Decorating Contest hosted by Washington Parish 4-H. No carving required. Use paint, markers, fabric, accessories, or other decorative materials to create your unique masterpiece. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding entries, and all participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity at the 2026 Washington Parish Free Fair. Whether your pumpkin is spooky, silly, festive, or inspired by 4-H, we can't wait to see what you create! 4-H Washington Parish 4-H members will soon showcase their hard work and dedication at the Washington Parish Free Fair. Youth from across the parish will exhibit livestock projects, participate in contests, and demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the year. Southeast Region 4-H Challenge Camp
The 2026 Southeast Region 4-H Challenge Camp will be held November 3-4, at the Lion King Retreat Center in Amite, LA. This is a camp for 7th-8th graders. Cost will be $60. Scholarships are available. Due to the limited number of beds, we can only bring a select number of participants. The selection of these members is done by essay submission. A short essay from the member detailing their desire to go to camp and how they believe this opportunity would benefit their leadership skills need to be emailed to Amy Varnado at [email protected] by midnight on October 26, 2026.
Sweet Potato and Pecan Fundraiser Washington Parish 4-H is excited to kick off our Annual Sweet Potato & Pecan Fundraiser! And with the addition of a smaller sweet potato box option for smaller families Order Deadline: November 2nd Pick-Up By: November 16th (just in time for Thanksgiving!) Support our local 4-H program and enjoy fresh, delicious pecans and sweet potatoes for your holiday table.4-H Members: Order forms are available at the Washington Parish 4-H office or through your school 4-H sponsor. | |
