Until this past summer (2026), LDAF had been able to hold occasional Unwanted Pesticide Pickup events around the state. These events were funded mainly by pesticide registration fees here in the state of Louisiana. At these events, unwanted / unused pesticides were collected for disposal at no cost to producers, applicators and homeowners. All pesticides had been accepted. Containers were also furnished (if needed) to transport the unwanted pesticides to the collection site if old containers were not in good condition.
Unfortunately, at this time, due to budget constraints, LDAF does not have any planned pickup events for the remainder of 2026. If you would like to be placed on a list - to be notified in the event of the next one that might be held (once funding comes available), please reach out to us at PSEP.
