Outstanding Club Award

The Calcasieu Parish 4-H Outstanding Club Award recognizes 4-H clubs that demonstrate exceptional involvement in community service, leadership, learning experiences, and member engagement throughout the year. Clubs are evaluated on the quality and impact of their activities, including community service projects, community study programs, educational workshops, leadership development opportunities, and overall club participation. One club is selected each year as the parish's Outstanding Club.

The Outstanding Club Award is an opportunity to celebrate the collective efforts of your members, leaders, and volunteers. The application allows clubs to showcase the projects, service activities, leadership experiences, and accomplishments that made a difference throughout the year. It recognizes clubs that embody the mission of 4-H by helping youth learn, lead, serve, and grow.

This award is ideal for clubs that:

  • Actively participate in community service projects that make a positive impact in their school or community.
  • Organize or take part in educational activities, workshops, tours, and community study experiences.
  • Encourage member participation and engagement throughout the year.
  • Provide opportunities for youth leadership and personal growth.
  • Set goals and work together to achieve them as a club.
  • Can demonstrate meaningful outcomes and learning experiences from their activities.

Strong applicants are clubs that focus on quality experiences rather than simply completing a large number of activities. Successful applications clearly demonstrate how members planned activities, worked together, served others, developed leadership skills, and reflected on what they learned throughout the year.

This award is open to Elementary, Junior, and Senior 4-H clubs in Calcasieu Parish.
