The Tri‑Parish Livestock 4‑H Club offers 4th-12th grade youth from Orleans, Jefferson, and Plaquemines Parishes the opportunity to explore hands‑on livestock education in a supportive, multi‑parish setting. Youth focus on essential skills in animal care, responsibility, and showmanship, working with a variety of livestock species ranging from rabbits and poultry to goats and sheep. Through club meetings and practical learning experiences, members develop knowledge of proper animal handling, nutrition, health, and exhibition skills while building confidence, teamwork, and leadership. The club is designed to support both new and experienced livestock exhibitors interested in growing their skills and preparing for shows. Club meetings will be held in Belle Chasse, beginning in the new 4‑H year starting July 2026. For registration information or questions, please contact: [email protected]
