The 2026 Ark-La-Miss Fair will be held Oct. 2-11, 2026, at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center, 501 Mane Street in West Monroe. Come by the 4-H office to pick up your fair book, tags, & forms for your fair entries. There are several projects available - from photography, baking, canning, to arts & crafts, & more! Livestock Lane & 4-H Petting Zoo will also be at the fair. The Ark-La-Miss Fair Livestock Show schedule can be found on the Fair Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ArkLaMissFair.
Join us each month to learn about rabbits & prepare for shows. Gain knowledge from other youth with experience. We will meet at the 4-H office on the following dates.

Each month, supplies & directions will be provided to create something fun in our Creation Station or at home! A punch card will be provided for members who would like to track their work for themselves. Items can be turned in to be donated. September’s Challenge is Trash to Treasure! Clover Kickoff - Discovering 4-H Tailgate! Join us Tuesday, October 6, 6-7:30 pm at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. 4th-6th graders living/attending school in Ouachita Parish are invited. Explore robotics, livestock, food & fitness, service-learning, art, fashion, & shooting sports! Introduction meeting for parents & activities for kids! Wear your green! Sign up for our team! Fun! Hot dogs! Swag bags to the first 100 new members!
Ouachita 4-H Cloverbuds! A free club for students in Ouachita Parish ages 5-8 (as of Jan. 1, 2027). Learn about the 6 pillars of character & make a small craft! Located at the 4-H office (704 Cypress St., West Monroe), 1-2pm on the dates below.

Mrs. Bethany Corona has been a 4-H agent in Ouachita since 2023. She graduated from Farmerville High School & earned her bachelor’s degree at ULM & her master’s degree at LSU. She will cover Middle & High School clubs, Jr. Leaders, Livestock, Photography, & STEM clubs!
Miss Sidney Spinks has been a 4-H agent in Ouachita since August 2026. She graduated from Block High School & earned her bachelor’s & master’s degrees at Northwestern. She will cover Elementary School clubs, Cloverbuds, Shooting Sports, & Zoo clubs!

Ouachita Livestock Show Team Interest & Family Meeting! Join us Friday, October 9 at 5:30 pm at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Join us in the stands to hear team updates before joining us outside for our showmanship clinic, whether you have an animal or not! Come learn the basics & see what showing livestock is all about. We can’t wait to welcome new & returning families for another great year!
Ready to improve your showmanship skills? Join us for a fun evening of learning during our Showmanship Clinic & Demonstration! Friday, October 9, 6-7:30 pm, Show Rings at Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Bring your animal & supplies - or if you don't have one yet, come anyway! Everyone is welcome. This clinic is open to all species & is a great opportunity for both new & experienced exhibitors to build confidence before show season begins. We hope to see you there!
National 4-H Week is October 4-10, 2026! National 4-H Week, the first full week of October, is a week-long celebration of 4-H across the country. During National 4-H Week, promote 4-H in your school & community with fun activities. Some ideas include providing refreshments for school staff, placing 4-H signs on lockers of members, placing posters throughout the school, & having a 4-H member read a PSA each morning!

Join Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports! You must be 9 years old in 4th grade by January 1, 2027 & you must join 4-H. Shooting Sports registration fees are $50 per child. 4-H dues are $10. Practice dates will be posted soon. Registration form can be found at Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports or go to our webpage at lsuagcenter.com/Ouachita, click on 4-H, then click on Shooting Sports, then Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports. This year we will offer Archery, Shotgun, .22 Rifle, & Pistol.
Ouachita Innovators is the new name for our 4-H Stem Team this year. Monthly practices will be held for Juniors (grades 4-7) & Seniors (grades 8-12). On each of the practice dates below, Jr. eSports & Sr. Robotics will meet 4-5pm, & Jr. Robotics & Sr. eSports will meet 5-6pm. All practices will be held at the 4-H office auditorium (704 Cypress St., West Monroe).
Join us for our STEM Program Parent Meeting, Tuesday, Sept. 1, 5-6pm at the 4-H office (704 Cypress St., West Monroe). This year our STEM program will include Robotics, eSports, & Drones.
The dates for the Tractor Supply Winter Paper Clover Campaign are Nov. 27-Dec. 13, 2026. Since 2010, Tractor Supply has partnered with 4-H to prepare youth to be ready for work & life. The success of the Paper Clover campaign has raised more than$24 million to impact local youth with the technical skills & life skills that prepare them for whatever comes their way. Head out to your local Tractor Supply store, located at 201 Mane Street in West Monroe, & buy a paper clover to help support your parish 4-H program!
