National 4-H Week is October 4-10, 2026! National 4-H Week, the first full week of October, is a week-long celebration of 4-H across the country. During National 4-H Week, promote 4-H in your school & community with fun activities. Some ideas include providing refreshments for school staff, placing 4-H signs on lockers of members, placing posters throughout the school, & having a 4-H member read a PSA each morning!

A free club for students in Ouachita Parish ages 5-8 (as of Jan. 1, 2027). Learn about the 6 pillars of character & make a small craft! Located at the 4-H office (704 Cypress St., West Monroe), 1-2pm on the dates below.
Come dressed in your Halloween costume or fall-themed outfits! Come prepared for a costume contest. For 4th-6th grade members. Friday, Oct. 23, 6pm-8:30pm at the 4-H office, 704 Cypress Street in West Monroe. Admission: $10. Concessions: $2 each. A parent or guardian must come inside to sign youth in & give emergency information, phone number, who is picking them up, etc. Email [email protected] with questions. Register with the QR code.
6th-12th Graders, come join Ouachita 4-H Jr. Leaders monthly for service-learning, leadership, food, & fun! Come when you can – no pressure! We will meet each month at the 4-H office, so save the dates! 6th-8th grades meet 5-6:30pm & 9th-12th grades meet 6-7:30pm

Join Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports! You must be 9 years old in 4th grade by January 1, 2027 & you must join 4-H. Shooting Sports registration fees are $50 per child. 4-H dues are $10. Practice dates will be posted soon. Registration form can be found at Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports or go to our webpage at lsuagcenter.com/Ouachita, click on 4-H, then click on Shooting Sports, then Ouachita 4-H Shooting Sports. This year we will offer Archery, Shotgun, .22 Rifle, & Pistol.
Come hang out with friends during fall break at the 4-H Office, Oct. 14, 1-3pm! Stay the whole time or drop in for 15 minutes, we'll be happy to see you either way! Chill vibes, boardgames, puzzles & a place to hang. Flavored water bar provided, bring your own snacks!!

Join us in the stands to hear team updates before joining us outside for our showmanship clinic, whether you have an animal or not! Come learn the basics & see what showing livestock is all about. We can’t wait to welcome new & returning families for another great year!
Ready to improve your showmanship skills? Join us for a fun evening of learning during our Showmanship Clinic & Demonstration! Friday, October 9, 6-7:30 pm, Show Rings at Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Bring your animal & supplies - or if you don't have one yet, come anyway! Everyone is welcome. This clinic is open to all species & is a great opportunity for both new & experienced exhibitors to build confidence before show season begins. We hope to see you there!
Pumpkins will be displayed at West Monroe City Hall. Decorated pumpkins are due Oct 26; turn in at the 4-H office, 704 Cypress St.

Categories of alike pumpkins will be created once all entries are submitted. Each category will have placings & prizes!
Ouachita Innovators is the new name for our 4-H Stem Team this year. Monthly practices will be held for Juniors (grades 4-7) & Seniors (grades 8-12). On each of the practice dates below, Jr. eSports & Sr. Robotics will meet 4-5pm, & Jr. Robotics & Sr. eSports will meet 5-6pm. All practices will be held at the 4-H office auditorium (704 Cypress St., West Monroe).

The general 4-H enrollment fee for 2026-2027 is $10. Note: If a club is available at your school, please follow the school club leader’s enrollment guidelines. If there isn’t a club at your school or if you homeschool, you may still join 4-H as a Member-At-Large & participate in all 4-H activities. Just call or come by the 4-H office for details or enroll online! You can even pay your dues online!
